Had lessons, worked under good instructors and are now excellent endurance riders. I also strongly urge anyone who is competing to take lessons. I go for refreshers myself if it's not just for the pure pushing. I am an ex jumper so I take jumping lessons once every 2 years for about 6 weeks to whip me back into shape. My instructor was grusome. I still feel my legs ache from the 2 point position for 15 minutes without stirrups. Tried dressage lessons but for some reason I can't seem to get out of that 2 point position......lol Endurance riders are very often like me...self taught, self motivated types that never had the intense schooling and training that riders from other disciplines get. I don't know if this would make much difference in the medals, but at least our videos would look better. >g< bring back technical courses and get rid of the speed requirements on these I TOTALLY AGREE.......
