[RC] Sunday ride options? - rides2farAlissa asked: "Would you still be willing to do a ride on a Sunday? " There's times, like Memorial Day weekend I can understand a manager wanting the ride on Sunday. I have done it once I think, but don't like to. Given two rides to choose between I choose the Saturday ride. As for Derby weekend...why would you *not* have it on Saturday? Some people figure it's that we're missing church is what would make us oppose it, but actually "going to church" wasn't the original order. The order was to "take a day of rest" and that's a good habit. Granted, 7th day Adventists would argue that Saturday is the "day of rest". When you read about what a stuggle just getting by was, really until recent years, you realize how radical it was to order a day where even you *animals* were not allowed to do *any* work. Now I'm seeing kids with Soccer tournaments on Sundays, endurance rides on Sundays...people are treating it just like "another day to get things done" and I don't want to participate. One good day with nothing scheduled per week is good for the soul.
