[RC] Klickatat! - Sue Walz

We got back from Klickatat! What a beautiful ride! Well marked & well run! I've been meaning to ride it for years but something always kept me from it until this year... I hope never to miss it again! Raven & I did our second barefoot 50 in 5 hrs & 54 mins. 10th place! It surprised me as I thought more riders passed us than that. Raven just cruised with bursts of speed thrown in. It was a very technical trail. You had to pay attention & watch those ribbons through many twists & turns! FUN! More points for the Master Gaiter team! My friend Becca finished the 30 on her rescue horse, Puppy. Points for the InstaGaiter team! My friend Lance was hoping to ride my mare, Ruby, in the 30 but she was slightly off from an incident in the trailer ride & couldn't start. So he took care of her & volunteered to work the ride. Helped with the in timing at the base camp vet check. A good time was had by all & the weather was great on Saturday! It cut loose much rain last night & this morning. It was sunny by the time the awards were finished. So I finally have my prized Klickatat sweatshirt! On to Sunriver! I love that ride! I may just do the 100!
