Re: [RC] [RC] Horses Keep On Giving - Truman PrevattIf you want to look at the tactical implication, the Blackhawk would be a close in sensor - task by a unified command and control structure with input from implanted ground acoustic sensors (detecting foot and vehicle traffic), airborne sensor flying at 10,000 to 15,000 feet (visible horizon of about 100 km) also carrying highly sensitive IR sensors ( for night operations when I suspect the traffic is the highest) and mobile radar both to detect air targets or moving ground targets (including people), see http://www.drs.com/products/index.cfm?gID=18&productID=211 for an example of only one of many such radar system. You want to close the border you need the technology to do it - you're not going to do it with a frigging horse that one pistol shot from a smuggler can nullify. Who is going to pay for it? The way things are going today, our grandchildren. We seem to see a lot of chest thumping on "closing the borders," but no one has signed up for the tax increase to fund it.
