[RC] Newbie's Question: - Dave Smith

** Low Priority **

Newbie's Question:

I have two questions regarding heart monitors:

1. First, will the monitor my wife used for running a couple years ago
work on a horse? I thought I read that the electrodes for a human
transmitter are too close together and that I will need a transmitter
made especially for a horse that have wider spaced electrodes.

2. Where is the transmitter phycially placed on the horse? I use an
expandable "dressage" girth. Can I secure the transmitter to the
underside of the girth near where it buckles to the saddle? Or should I
use some special transmitter strap? If so, where can I get one that
would fit a horse?

Thanx for any help....
