Hi Pam,
	Bar length is basically the length, front to back, of the saddle.  The 
gullet is the part that goes over the horse's withers.  The top is the 
pommel and the bottom of the pommel is the gullet.  The width is hard to 
measure because there is no standardized place to measure it.  And 
different saddle companies use different ways of describing the width.
