When I have a horse fit to race, I don't pay much attention to my weight division. Most of the time I don't even know the weight divisions of many of the riders near me. I go for First Overall -- that's the one that counts. I voted for the weight divisions when they were first introduced (two divisions). I even voted for the expansion to three divisions, although I had misgivings about that, and I wouldn't do it today. Then they expanded to four, which IMO was completely ridiculous and took away any meaning they may have had left. The only separate division that is really meaningful, IMO, is the Junior Division, and that's because they must ride with a sponsor. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxx http://www.rnbw.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
