[RC] elevator rides - Dot WigginsAs a ride manager I sanctioned as an "elevator ride" for several years. From 25 to 50, from 50 to 75. I think I had one rider go from LD to 50 inthe years I did that. so I quit bothering. While I sort of understand the reasoning, I've never been pleased with the "completion only" if you elevate. If the horse is doing well why should they give up a top ten 50 if they go for the 75? Or the 100? And the number of riders that would elect to go on at 50 miles if they knew the miles were secure with the reverse elevator format? Too easy to quit and still get miles. Go for the 100, or don't start at all. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
