   Glad to hear you are enjoying your new Freeform.
   The Freeform Saddles are made using an innovative technology called 
injection foam molding around which the saddle is constructed. This foam 
mold helps to distribute the riders weight across the horse's back.  In 
addition, the girth straps are stitched on a "Y" system which helps to 
spread the pressure over the whole of the saddle. Your saddle pad also comes 
into play and that is why with any treeless saddle it is important to have a 
shock-absorbent pad that give additional cushioning of the vertebrae wings.
   This is just a quick answer as I could write paragraphs about the 
horse's vertebrae, collection, etc, etc.
