[RC] 23 new AERC rides and Convention - TypeF \(Jackie Floyd\)
Just a quick note to all the newsgroups I belong
to, to let you know that although NOT about
dates, I am now including a Regional Update CD with new purchases of AMERICAN
ENDURANCE RIDES: THE ULTIMATE GUIDE ... "because I can!" The guide is first and
foremost ... a book about ride descriptions.
I'm trying to keep my file updated and ready to go
for the next printing at the end of 2006, so every ride that has been sanctioned
so far for this ride season is updated. I figured I might as well share :) And
there are 23 new AERC rides sanctioned for the 2006 season that were
not on the 2005 ride schedule, a good portion of which are brand new
rides. As time permits, I will contact the RMs of these rides and have them
provide me with more details so their rides will be as complete as all the
others in the book.
And for those of you who have already purchased the
book, this is just a reminder that updates are available online any time. All
you have to do is email me and I'll direct you to the proper URL and give you
the user id and password.
Both the CD and the online files are PDFs and all
updates are highlighted in blue for easy viewing.
If you are coming to convention, you can find me in
the Long Riders Gear booth with Tracy Bailey. Tracy has graciously offered to
cart several boxes of books with her since she is driving. I'll be
flying in on Thurs. Come by and say HI!
For those of you in the West who aren't going to
Convention because "it's too far away ..." GO! Think of all the riders who fly
out here from all over the country to Nevada to attend the convention when
it's here. And think of Paddi at Canadian Trail House who has to fight with the
border and customs to get to convention every year. From what I understand it's
a royal pain getting back INTO Canada with product also.
I hope to be back on the trail again very soon. I
haven't been able to condition any horses for the last couple of months due to
work, weather, the holidays, you name it. And the sun is now OUT and has
been for five days straight. Of course, I know it's only temporary, but it sure
feels good right now. I'm hoping for Eastern Mojave Scenic, at least with James.
He's got the most conditioning at this point. I'm jealous of all you lucky dogs
that got to go to Death Valley Encounter!
