[RC] Batteries and LQ - mkrumlaw

We have two deep cycle marine batteries on our trailer and a 75 watt
solar panel installed on the roof. I can pull into the middle of a field
run the TV, fans, fridge, and furnace if need be all week and not have a
problem. With this set up the only time the batteries have gone below
50% is when the batteries were getting old and we were camping in the
winter and the furnace was on all day and night.

When the solar panel is hooked up 24/7 (you can turn it off by pulling
the fuse) you'll need to check the water in the batteries.

Our panel even charges on most overcast days. It might not work in the
deep shade but many of the places we go to around our area have some
shade at least part of the day and it still works great.
