Re: [RC] laying horses down - hrsldyloryLinda, You just made sense out of something that happened to me this spring. I took the horse I'm training out for a ride alone and had a real tough time the entire way out and most of the way back. As we came out of the trails into an open field I stopped him just to take a look around. Something spooked him from behind and as he spun, he slipped in the mud and went flat down on is right side. (No injuries to either of us.) When he stood up, he STOOD! He didn't dance, fidget or flinch as I remounted and actually flat-walked the last two miles home. I'm sure if I tried it on purpose I'd be the one to get hurt. <VBG> Lory W =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
