Re: [RC] Drafting - any gain? - M Paul LatiolaisMotivation. At least that is my horse's need and benefit. He is pretty lazy otherwise. When we first started this sport, my horse spent a month with Bill Basham, a trainer that Steph uses for her endurance horses. Bill thought my horse would never make it in distance riding, because the horse was so lazy on the trail by himself. Almost 1000 competitive miles (555 endurance miles) later and counting, he goes like the devil when around other endurance horses. WITH the caveat that I have to be more mindful of the signs of fatigue. He would wear himself out, if I let him. -Paul On Apr 27, 2006, at 9:40 AM, SturmRanch@xxxxxxx wrote: So as this topic has come up, maybe someone can answer something I have wondered about. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
