Re: [RC] Ferocious Dobermans - KrisNow picture that same expression on a horse's face... it's kinda sad really, but my TWH gelding has absolutely no idea how to swim. you take him out to the beach, and he'll willingly walk in, and when it starts to get deep enough to require swimming, he just keeps on walking. i have a picture of the water, and protruding from it are two little chestnut ears, nothing else. He'll stay under for about 10 seconds, then either rear or roll (not entirely sure why this strikes him as a good idea), and i have to haul him back in where it's more shallow. The longer i have him, the more i realize that his dam probably knew something we didn't when she tried to kill him.... i like to think of him as my evolutionary reject. I had to pull her out. My boston terrier and pits LOVE the water and all swim very well. AmyMy first Doberman went with us to visit my parents. Belle ran into the yardand into the pool. We watched in horror as she sank to the bottom, motionless.
