[RC] Killer pens success - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: micki turney perfektlywicked@xxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== I was blessed with a cowboy for a stepdad. When I was a little girl my mom and stepdad would go to the Chino or Montebello Horse auction every Friday and Saturday night. We picked up many great horses there. My first horse "Cheyenne was an auction horse- I did everything to that poor guy. We would start in Downey along the riverbeds and go to Whittier Narrows up to Rose Hills and back. He would have been a great endurance horse! In my later years it was the Norco auction. I have picked up only three, and each horse was fantastic! I pretty much turned them and burned em ( trained and sold). But my favorite story is the horse I bought off the killer guy (he paid $125.00, I begged him @200.00). I turned around and sold him to a young girl that used him for 4-H in Valley Center! Every year at Christmas she sent me a card with the horse decorated in ribbons. It really makes you happy when you save a couple. I recently sold one at auction and I will never do that again. Next time we'll put a horse down if they are that sickly or evil. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
