If you are dealing with a breed that is naturally aggresive, or bred to be super agressive then charging it would make matters worse - as would squirting it or shooting it with a paintball. I tend to think that would just make the dog angrier and want to attack you/your horse even more. I am not sure what the solution would be.Part of this comes from me watching my little JRT terrorize skunks. She can make short work of a skunk. Being sprayed and scratched just ticks her off and makes her go even harder at the skunk!
