Good grief, folks. NOBDOY has more
loose dogs than there are around here. Everybody’s dog runs loose,
and they are all over the place. In addition, this is a prime “dog
dump’ area. However, I have trained every one of them to stay away from horses.
It’s called a “Whammo Slingshot and you can buy it and marbles for
it at any sporting goods store. With a little practice, it’s VERY
accurate. The first shot is a warning. After that, if they “die”
so be it. I do my best not to inflict a serious injury, but shit happens.
Some bark a safe distance away, but they don’t get within “Whammo”
range!

While riding BOB I have not encountered dogs yet....but, recently moved
to a rural area where many dogs run loose, even in packls.
My concern is BOB is not aggressive towards dogs because we rode and
still occasionally ride with the Santa Fe Hynt Club. and the hounds are
all over the place and at there feet.
If a horse even flinches at the hounds you WILL be told to leave.
So how do I help ole' BOB out here. Should I carry a gun?
Gotta start riding, cause I sent the black horse back to breeder and am now
without a competition horse.
