RE: [RC] Girthing vs Cinching - Sharon LevasseurI assume you're thinking of tying a cinch knot, eliminating the "where's the next hole" problem? I tried that but the knot was under my leg. Do you have elastic ends on your girth? Does it have "roller buckles"? Both of those features make English girths SOOO much easier. -Sharon L. -----Original Message----- From: ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:ridecamp-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Beverley H. Kane, MD Sent: Saturday, April 08, 2006 12:26 PM To: Ridecamp; Treeless Subject: [RC] Girthing vs Cinching I decided I really dislike English girths due to the post-office function holes--you have to be in one hole or the other, nothing in between. This has especially been an issue w/ my new Barefoot Cheyenne + Equipedic + mohair dressage girth. My arms and hands don't seem to be strong enough (or more likely, get leverage enough from my short height) to get to that next hole up which is, at any rate, always a bit too tight. I'm thinking I'd like to convert to a Western style cinch. Thoughts? Thanks.
