Re: [RC] Answer to Energy Crisis - Jody Rogers-ButtramDr. Q, I use to own a Fred Flintstone car. It was a 197? Datsun. Named Danny Datsun. Yes, back before Nissan was used as the title. It was horrible ORANGE, had a bent up Lt. rear fender, the driver's door didn't open, so you either crawled in the window, or got in from the passeger car. The hood didn't latch correctly, so they was a bungi cord holding it in place. Had a radio, but that was it. Had an air conditioner, but it didn't work. Had a really bad carborator (?)...and it would die in the middle of a 4-lane highway. Top speed was 60 mph...downhill. My mother felt that I was very safe in this car...oh, and I paid $500 for it, in 1982. Drove that sucker for 2 years to school. Endured many insults from my wonderful Russellville High School classmates as a result. It had about 150,000 miles on it when we "sold" it. Several years
later...like 8, I saw it in another town....someone asked me how I knew that it was the same car....trust me, there could NOT be another car that bent up and that ugly. But, it was a tough little sucker. Jody (upgraded to a very dusty Ford Escort Stationwagon with over 200,000 miles) PS. And now the classmates...they are either dead from drugs, fat or out of work. Now who is better !!!!!! ;-)) Bruce Weary DC <bweary@xxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: I think the world will be a better place when we can all drive a
