[RC] Cranberry - and yet some more kudos for Patti - Flora HillmanAlso, want to
mention a VERY special kudo to Patti for the new volunteers she had helping
out -- this being the local trail motorcycle club. They
had approached her prior to the ride to offer their services, and they
ended up being the "drag riders" out to remove the ribbons from the completed
trails.
A really NICE
group of guys, -- super polite and ultra friendly and really eager to
help. They thoroughly enjoyed their job, even the challenge of finding
their way around some of the deep puddles (hock high to the horses) that their
smaller trail bikes couldn't negotiate. As one of the Sunday volunteer
In/Out timers, we worked with them to ensure all the horses were well off the
trails that were to have ribbons pulled. They were very careful
around the horses -- none of which notice of the bikes at all!
A great
opportunity to "share the trail" with other users, and to foster good
relationships with different people of different sports.
