RE: [RC] Skito Dryback Pad? - heidi

I tried on on my high withered horse. I worked its way down and put
pressure on the wither. I would not recommend it on a high withered
horse. It also seemed to ride hot. I wouldn't use it in our normal hot
and himid riding conditions in the SE.

I have had no problem with our one high-withered horse, but would
suspect that perhaps that has to do with what sort of saddle it is made
for, and how well it stays put with that given saddle. We are riding
Wintec Pro-Endurance saddles, and the Skitos stay up "in the groove"
with them just fine, due to where the keeper straps sit.

As for riding hot, I had a problem with that with one horse with a
regular Skito. Switched to the dryback or whatever they call the one
with the ventilating 3-M stuff on it--and what a difference! Would
highly recommend their dryback model for hot weather.
