Re: [RC] Low Tech and electrolytes--Now & Peeing Alot - rides2farA horse that only pees once during a 50 is cause for concern, IMO. Well then I've got a 3050 mile horse and a 2600 mile horse out here that we need to check on because that's the norm for both. On a normal day, how many times would you expect a horse to urinate in 6 hours? These horses tended to complete in anywhere from 4:15 ride time to maybe 7 hours for the most part. A few longer. I'm trying to think, I doubt Kaboot urinated over 2 or 3 times in a 100. Again, we need to be careful about scaring a newbie with absolute statements about what's normal. Their horse may go more or less often and be fine. I had a pony who drank copious amounts of water. He'd pee twice on a 1 hour ride. It was as clear as water. I did worry about him. He started looking like he had thyroid problems by the time I sold him.
