Re: [RC] Horse buying woes - Laney HumphreyShelia, don't feel that you're the only one who has made such a mistake because you're not!! The good thing is that you will learn so much more from this horse and your experiences with him than you would have from a "better" horse. For example, the herd bound issue is just a training issue, for both of you. You might well need to get help solving the problem, but think how much better you will have made the horse and how much happier he'll be too! You don't describe the health issue, but maybe they are fixable too. If not, there are many buyers who are quite happy with a less than totally sound horse: someone looking for a companion animal, someone who only rides occasionally, some therapeutic riding programs (depending on the degree of unsoundness), and others.By putting a bit of effort into fixing some of the horse's "problems," you'll have a much better "product" to sell and you will have learned far more than you expect through the process. Good luck!
