We're using about an ounce per horse of unground flax seed with  
similar results, the "poop birds" do a great job for us.  Yellow  
breasted with black streaks, long skinny beaks, otherwise gray birds-- 
anyone know what they are?  The result is perfect gardening manure,  
light and fluffy.  Still using fly parasites though.
