[RC] tights - Kathy CopelandMy favorite riding tights are made by Tropical Rider, www.tropicalrider.com, or 800-699-8560. They will custom make any of their tights to fit you the way you want them to fit. They will also make then with patches or no patches or calero patches instead of dear skin, which is expensive. They have many different fabrics that they use but my favorite ones are the TR Energy tights made from Holofiber. It is a realitively new fabric that works to increase oxygen levels which increases energy and speeds up muscle recovery. Does it really work, well me and my team think so or you could ask Maryben or Julie about them. It all started with a pair of socks we bought at the AERC Convention. I have found all kinds of cool colthing made from holofiber and now my whole family wears it to ski in and for muscle recovery after playing soccer or other sports. If it is a placebo effect, well
I'm taking it and never giving it up. Do I work for the company or have any financial gain from this - No. They are in Florida and I am in CA so we are not even neighbors. To me it is the greatest thing since Coca Cola so I just wanted to share. Another company Draper Knitting, www.draperknitting.com, is making products for our horses also so I will be getting my horse a cooler made of this fabric to help her recovery after a ride. Equipedic, www.equipedic.com, also uses holofiber in their saddle pad and carries the socks. My father who is daibetic does really well in all his holofiber clothing we have been getting for him. The best way to test holofiber is to buy a pair of the holofiber socks, (if you go to www.holofiber.com you will find a ton of places to shop) and put a regular sock
on one foot and the holofiber on the other and see if you feel a difference. All the people I know who have tried this are soon hunting the other sock. Ahh yes another science project, you get a pair of tights made, half holofiber and a different fabric on the other half. Rider doesn't get to know which is which and away they go.
