I drive 40 miles one way - takes about an hour.  This is so I can live 
in a cute little town in Maryland, and not in the big old city of 
Baltimore.  And my husband works half an hour away in the other 
direction, so we had to compromise.

My horse is boarded 10 minutes away from home, and that was as far as I 
was willing to travel to go see the boy, after driving for an hour to 
get home!  I could find a nicer stable, further away, but wasn't willing 
to do the additional driving.

My max commute was an hour an a half, but that only lasted for three 
months before I put my foot down - either we had to move or I was 
quitting the job.  We moved.
