I don't clip my horses at all and I live in
northern MI. Until the weather gets nicer, the horses are out during the
day and in at night, no shelter in the pasture. My first ride is the first
weekend of May and I will go with a horse that hasn't been clipped. If it
is warm, I will deal with it then but would rather see the horses with their
hair for protection on those cold nights and windy days. I don't use
blankets either except at rides. Jeanie
