Can't help you on this one. My vote goes with the rich diet that often
preceeds founder. Although i can't say i've ever noticed a shiny coat on a
foundered horse, and i've seen quite a few working at TAMU. but then,
there's a good chance that's just because my observational skills are, at
times, somewhat lacking
