A mg measurer would have to be a pretty good balance? Something they would not give away for free?

Well, no, given liquid (water) measurement at precise conditions, a
gram is a 1:1 conversion to a milliliter. A microgram is 1/1,000,000 of a gram. And I think the original poster really needs to contact the vet who prescribed this, as there is no practical way in one's barnyard that one can measure such a tiny amount. I am also wondering if she means mg (milligrams) which would only be 1/1000 of a gram. Or if there is a misprint, and the vet wrote mg and meant ml. In any event, I don't think we can help her much via internet without more information.
