My mares and geldings have always been turned out
together. My biggest problem was my old gelding who is no longer
around. I had to keep a new horse separate from him and his herd for about
a month before they would all get along. Now when Maggie comes into heat,
the geldings leave her alone as she is such a hussy! She absolutely wears
them out. Each situation is different and one just needs to figure out
what will work for that situation. Jeanie
