Re: [RC] AERC/NATRC Convention - Sky RanchWell, I care, and I am sure many people do, about both organizations. I think it's wonderful that we're having both conventions in virtually the same place, same time. I'm planning on attending the national convention(s), and hope to be at all of the events for both AERC and NATRC that I can manage. There's only one drawback that I can see, I can't be everywhere at once! You mentioned the new Distance Only option in NATRC -- this was approved by the NATRC national board, and is going to be offered at all NATRC rides next year. I think it's a great opportunity for people to try out competitive trail riding in NATRC, without the pressure of having to complete the "judged obstacles." I believe that the other rules of NATRC are to be observed, however. Both NATRC and AERC have SO MUCH to offer the distance rider. It's a good chance for NATRC folks to learn more about AERC. BUT NOTHING is mentioned about that in the AERC convention information. NATRC has even added a Distance Only option to their rides this year. Anyway, see you at convention whether you care or not. Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
