Not only does the saddle work for me but it also fits Lady very well. In fact it is the first saddle that has ever fit her. As for the slipping when mounting as long as my girth is tight it has never been an issue. I have never had the saddle slip when dismounting. In fact when I ride Lady I have never noticed the saddle move anymore than any other saddle. I will say though that I do always ride with a breast plate and crupper. I will agree that it is like riding with a bareback pad and not a saddle. You have to check your girth more when using one of these.
