[RC] Dog question - Ridecamp GuestPlease Reply to: Angie angie24@xxxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== Yikes, sounds like Scoobie is a dominant dog who might have a case of protective/territorial aggression. While some trainers may say this is treatable and manageable, I wouldn't be comfortable with this situation in my house, even if I was dilligent about training and supervising them. Its not fair to either dog (or your family) to live with the constant threat of violence. And you're at risk if Scoobie bites someone again. Dog bite liability is no joke; there can be serious financial ramifications. I'd keep them separated until you decide what you think is best for the situation: training or rehoming one of the two. A decision to rehome is difficult so make sure to think it through thoroughly. If its Scoobie you decide to rehome, be honest about his past behaviour with whomever you adopt him to. He'll need an environment that will understand and work on improving his behaviour (assuming he does have protective aggression for his owner). =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
