What works for me: If I'm doing much walking (on the horse), I take my feet out of the stirrups periodically - riding at a walk with feet in the stirrups is a killer for me. I also (in Dec.) got injections of hyaluronic acid in both knees (1 shot per week for 3 weeks), and am on Bextra. Between the two, it helps a lot. I have a torn meniscus in my left knee and also have Chondromalacia in both knees (cartiledge behind both kneecaps is messed up). Also, getting off and walking for a bit now and then helps immensely. My knees are still sore after a 50, but are manageable now.
