RE: [RC] Saddles (again!) - Jim Holland

Aha! There is the hardest lesson to learn!  There is ALWAYS a way…maybe work as a Wal-Mart greeter for a few months?  McDonalds? <grin>

TRY an RP….it’s free…just pay shipping.  Then keep your ear to the ground for a used one in the right model/tree size.  RP will actually help you do that…and they sometimes have used ones on the website.  Unlike most English saddles, you can get an RP with rings all over it…the Endurance model comes with one set and you can add more.  My dressage saddle has more places to hang “stuff” than any saddle I have ever owned.

As to what 100 milers and multi-day riders ride in?  I have asked that question over the years and looked, but there is no consistent answer, but most tell you it’s what fits their HORSE.  That’s more important than what fits you.

I don’t think I owned a saddle that fit me AND my horse until I bought an RP….I now have two of them.

Subject: [RC] Saddles (again!)

The Reactorpanel looks great but its out of my  budget, although with the money I have lost buying and selling saddles, I could have bought one.
