Re: [RC] Which horse to buy? - Chris Paus

I'd say to go shopping with an open mind. Don't have in mind a particular breed or color or gender. The horse who is the right one for you may be completely opposite of what you imagine!    I rode and saw a lot of horses before I bought my Starman. I was adamant that I wanted any color but bay and any breed but Arabian.... ROTFLMAO... I brought home a bay Arabian gelding, and now have a field full of Bay-Rabs!  chris

Hi all, looking for advice:

I am shopping for a multi-day horse. I have been looking at arabs and 1/2 arabs, but SO really wants me to get a mustang which I am not opposed to. I also secretly harbor an attraction to mules. I know that either of these can make a very good endurance competitor, but have no experience w/ either. So, I would like to hear from all those that do as I make my decision on which horse to buy.

I do NOT want this turning into another useless debate, so please if you don't have anything nice to say, send your comments privately or keep them to yourself.

thanks,
melanie
