RE: [RC] Chicken Little Hysteria - Jim HollandHeidi, sent me one link, one post, one document, one of ANYTHING to substantiate these two statements. How about a report? A study? How about just a list of the horses that died each year in the previous 5 years before the HWC came into being? If you can't send me something or post something, then I'll assume all this is verbage is just pissing in the wind. As one who looked at much of the material at the time, it WAS available to the membership when it came out, but was not properly archived. Vet committee reports that I sat through in "those days" most definitely DID contain details--again, if you want to complain that they were not properly archived, I'll buy that, but that's a far cry from tarring and feathering all concerned with some great conspiracy to keep things secret. HOW was it available to the membership? How did a "member" get it? Was it published in EN? I've got old issues....point me to one. Come on, no more crap. DETAILS! I sent a registered letter to AERC asking for ANY information on horse deaths, and they refused to send me anything. Since you were "there", what was the procedure, and I will expect you to substantiate it with something other than your "word". Sorry, I was there--you weren't. The main reason much of this stuff never got kept is because nobody appeared to give a damn. That much HAS changed--and I'm glad it has. But if you want inaccuracy, don't try to indict those who were there and who damn well saw the very stuff that you claim never existed--and in fact, in some cases even filled out the forms and sent them in! Go ride your high horse--I prefer the facts. That's all I want...facts...you haven't given me anything except bullshit. You were where? That's meaningless. At a ride where a horse died? On the Vet Committee? If so, how about sending me an old Vet Committee Report prior to HWC? What "Information" did you send in? Horse Death Report? I don't think that report existed when you were "there", wherever "there" was. You're right, nobody gave a damn, apparently including you...and if horses died, so what. Information is useless unless you USE it for something and make it available to the membership. I see now why you're such a great supporter of FEI. You might have been "there" physically, but that's about it. <sigh> Jim, Sun of Dimanche+, and Mahada Magic =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
