As with all things, a modicum of reality is occasionally called for.
Fayette de Cameo's recent excursion into the murky waters of international
competition highlighted the fact that THE RIDER's contribution to "longevity" is
integral.
In my estimation, more horses have made riders, than riders have made
horses...the greatest "endurance blood" can sure be "thinned out" by
inexperienced riders, at all levels.
Balance, with a critical eye and a compassionate soul will go a long way
down the trail, regardless of breed.
