Re: [RC] steves' remark seeing Paladin on the trail again - Joe LongOn Mon, 07 Feb 2005 02:13:05 GMT, Ridecamp Guest <guest-owner@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: Please Reply to: Dian Woodward dwcsarabs@xxxxxxxxx or ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ========================================== That horse was in its deaths throws, its brain was swelling and he was violently convulsing. Ask this question of Bev. Where was she during this time of crisis, was she with the horse or was she elsewhere? What's amazing is that he lived through that experience. You think we'll see him on the trail again after this??? He doesn't deserve that kind of treatment after all he gave. If we see that horse on the trail again. I will personally ask for/demand Bev's resignation from the horse welfare committee... I hope others would feel the same. Good God, I hate to be a "flamer" on Ridecamp -- but, lady, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU ON?!?!?!? That's got to be one of the most hateful, spiteful, ill-informed diatribes I've seen here in a LONG time. Do you KNOW where Bev was? I wasn't there, but I have no doubt that she was wherever she believed she could do the best for her horse. Her horse "doesn't deserve that kind of treatment" ... being ridden on the trail again, if he makes a full recovery? That's just crazy. From what little I know at this point (although I doubt that you know more), the prognosis is good that the horse will make a full recovery, and I hope to see them together on rides again. I've sat up all night with a rider whose horse didn't make it. I've gone to the vet clinic with a rider whose horse did make it, and came back to compete again. Unless you've been there you have no idea how traumatic that is. Bev doesn't need your character assasination. -- Joe Long jlong@xxxxxxxx http://www.rnbw.com =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
