A friend of mine was riding a horse that did the same thing. Because I knew the horse I would on would do it, when it happened, I turned my horse around really quick and rode towards her horse forcing it to back up. I'm not sure who was more surprised, my friend or her horse. We discussed what was going on and agreed to play a game. I'd ride foward say 50 feet, then I'd yell "stop" and stop. Her job was to keep her horse off my horse's butt. If her horse didn't stop fast enough, he had to back up. She has since done quite a bit of Parelli work with the horse and I'm sure her horse is better behaved now.Laney Cherie wrote:
