[RC] "Tailgating"/blaming the victim? - Ridecamp Guest

==========================================

Yes,one should avoid tailgating-IF POSSIBLE-but just to cite an example,in
field trialing,it just isn't always possible.We are sometimes unavoidably
clumped together,and some of us are on foot.Put a red flag on the bitch's
tail,or don't bring her around!I've seen a horse lifted off the ground by a two
legged kick that neatly sandwiched the rider's knee.An inch or two in either
direction would have destroyed his knee.That same mare missed me by inches when
I had to lead my horse past her nasty ass in the middle of a crowded birdwork
situation.Instead,Chico caught it on the shoulder. Her owner never put a flag
on her.She did behave better as she aged.This whole discussion says a lot for
geldings,doesn't it? Also,we often have a dog come from behind and run right
through the group of horses.
