Sorry, didn't see the part about where to get tools. (and I left all of the original message - so sorry).
Try internet searches and just quickly: mail order catalogs such as Valley Vet: www.valleyvet.com under hoof care.  You might ask the farrier also.
PS: The screwdriver also helps get those Easy Boots off.
