[RC] Kentucky Derby - k s swigart

I am going to the Kentucky Derby this year and I was

the place to be and I am getting tickets to the grandstand.


Wellllll...unless things have changed since I went to the Kentucky Derby
(possible, since I am not going to admit to how long it has been)...If
your reason for going to the Derby is to participate in the whole social
event of the thing, the infield IS the place to be.  You only want to be
in the grandstand if you want a better view of the race.  But if what
you want is a better view of the race, watch it on TV. :)

In the infield, you will see none of the race (other than what you watch
on the tv screens they have there, but it's a fun party.  In the
grandstand you will see very little of the race (although you will
probably get to see at least some of the home stretch) other than what
you watch on the tv screens they have there. :).

The party in the infield is lots of fun :).
