RE: [RC] [RC] what Bill said - Dream Weaver;) Maybe -- I thought I had joined RC after I'd already done a few rides.I remember Karen's first post to Ridecamp: I have a horse that I'd like to start Endurance with (that would be Weaver) - how do I start? ... the rest is history. Karen - how many miles do you and your horses have now? Not enough, there are still trails we haven't ridden!!! My goal for Chief next year is for him to reach 5000 miles, then my first three horses will have all done that. Just starting horse # 4, he's got 250 miles now and it's so fun starting a new horse, it's so much easier to do it after the other horses have taught me so much. I think between them all they have a bit over 18,000 miles now. I'm behind them by a thousand or two because of the rides where others (mostly juniors) have ridden my horses with me. I know it seems like a lot (and it is, even getting the first handful of rides is a big deal!), but when you are riding with people like Dave Rabe and Les Carr who both are at 35,000 to 40,000 miles you still feel like a beginner. :) Karen =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
