[RC] Reply to HRM Issue Angie - Roger Rittenhouse

Since Angie has gone public with this 'complaint' at least 3 times now.. I felt I should respond to the below posting

I offered to REPLACE the damaged watch at NO CHARGE.. it was not accepted. Actually I never received a call from her - I emailed her when she posted this complaint before.. I kept it private.

If any rider has a problem with my products.. CALL ME FIRST before blasting to the net. Not the first time this has happened.

The newer units are stronger , HOWEVER this case is nothing different then any other standard watch case.. Riders rip off their watches also.

A rider has the option to remove the thin stock band and replace with a stronger one. The pins in the case ends are the industry standard.

I have newer models with stronger pin tabs on the case but the PINS are the same as watch pins. New bands etc can be obtained from WalMart or??

A BROKEN CASE on the V-MAX EHRM will be replaced under the YEAR long warranty- FREE - NC.. After that the new case is about $15. I have replaced only TWO this 2 .. broken watch cases in the past year.. NOT a real high failure rate.. only with one rider - who complains allot -- in public :)

Again, IF any rider has a problem with my products CALL!!!

Roger

WHAT ANGIE POSTED to RC - again
I wouldn't mind buying a HRM if they'd improve the quality of the
wristband attachment. The way it's made right now is a piece of crap and
people are constantly losing them due to the pins getting tugged & giving
way or just the cheapo plastic band. Mine that went to my hand held was
broken when it got here! I suggest they go to a fixed solid piece in
place of the pin, that could attach to one of those good nylon sports
watch wrist bands. Until they do that, I probably won't risk my money.

Angie
