I'd write you privately, but can't see your email addy. I have bought 3 saddles from Colin. And my Mom and a friend have too. My Mom had issues (with them not fitting *her*, not her horse) and Colin always took the saddles back, no problem. Since you custom ordered it, that may be the difference, however, I'm sure he would take it back on consignment? He could get a better price than you and take his cut.
As for the issue of why they aren't fitting your horse. I had my horse "gauged" with a gauge like Colin uses by a saddle fitter for $70. Perfect fit. Except for the fact that he's built "downhill" and the saddle would slide down into his shoulder when I'd get on. So, Colin figured that out with pictures of my horse and he added a "riser" to the tree in the front. Now, I'm more balanced and sit level, fixed the problem for us.
