Re: [RC] deadly bicyclist - Karen SullivanWe are losing trails in some areas, so work together with other groups for multi use and safety. Jonni I have two suggestions for multi-use trails.. 1. Have plenty of yield signs....showing arrows of who yields to who....which also puts it out there that there are horses on the trail, and reminds each user group they aren't the only group out there...... 2. Posted SPEED limits. While I don't think anyone would object to a "trotting" horse; riderd should obviously pull horse to a walk when passing others, horseback riders should not be roaring around blind corners at full speed on public trails. Too many mountian bike riders treat public trails as their own personal racecourse, and should also be going a safe speed... Connie Berto, if you are reading this thread...didn't you mention posted speed limits in some Marin Parks? Wasn't it 15MPH? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
