No, actually I'm in the NE, MD to be exact...although I rode JDs Carolina ride...I think that the issue of concessions would be fairly equal regardless of region (dont quote me on that though :))  You may just want to take sort of an impromptu survey of riders at the next ride you attend to get a feel for your areas want for this sort of thing.

I don't know of any support group for crews...but to address the issue of concessions, i think it is a really good idea!  Usually there is no one making/cooking food for the riders/crews and they have to hastily throw something together, if they eat at all.  At one of the rides I went to this past year, they had a little food/conscession stand, almost every time I went by there was a line..so i think its a pretty good idea!  I personally dont eat very much if anything prior to a ride but afterwards I know I wouldnt mind stopping by there and picking up a sandwhich...ok ive rambled on long enough...just my 2 cents.
