I didn't get the impression that she thought it was
necessarily wrong to start in a 25. Wasn't she saying that it was also ok
to start in a 50 if the rider, and horse, was prepared to do a 50?
At least that's what I understood from her
post.
The overwhelming sentiment I have gotten out of
all the posts on this issue (how to start) is that each person and each
horse is different, and depending on experience and condition, you choose your
own way -- and go very cautiously, conservatively, starting this
sport.
Seems to me, you can hurt a horse on a 25, just as
easily as on a 50, in the 'wrong' conditions.
Hello Maryben, You have
every right to brag about your impressive record of never starting anything
but 50's. But I have to wonder what it is that you find so hard to believe
about a newbie starting in LD that does not have the advantage of your expert
