RE: [RC] Which ReactorPanel saddles do folk like? - Jim HollandI tried three saddles before buying my RP's. I didn't like the thigh blocks in the Endurance....hard on my skinny thighs on the downhills. Then I tried a VSD....didn't like the seat and it tended to raise my voice a few octaves on occasion. Finally got Carmi to send me an Avant Garde...deep seat dressage. It was love the first time I sat in it. The knee rolls work much better to keep me secure than the thigh blocks. You can order an RP with "modifications". For example, you can get an Avant Garde with the VSD flaps and do things like add rings, shorten/lengthen the flaps and modify the way the leathers hang. Unless you buy an existing saddle, each one is "custom" to your requirements. Jim, Sun of Dimanche+, and Mahada Magic Richard T. I, on the other hand, didn't like feeling locked into the channel when I tried the VSD models. I ride a lot on steep hills and felt I needed to be able to move my leg forwards and back more freely. Haven't tried an endurance because I hate knee rolls. The point here is that a saddle ought to fit your body so comfortably you don't even think about it - just like the bottom of the saddle should fit your horse equally comfortably!
